I haven’t experienced Thanksgiving since 2002. I do wonder what it’d be like to sit at the grown-up table, though, considering I’m nearly 30 years old. The kid table was just us sitting on the floor around a coffee table.
My mom was still forced to sit at the kid’s table at my last Thanksgiving meal in 2002 and she was 36 years old, so even if I was there, I think I’d still be on the floor.
I kinda miss the tasty food, I guess. Also, most of the big personalities and players, the glue, so to speak, in my family have died since then, so it would just be weird. I miss them and that cranberry sauce that comes out of a can, I guess.
We cooked a Thanksgiving meal last year, but it just wasn’t the same so we didn’t bother this year. I do think you have to be there. Plus, here, the cranberry sauce is only available in a jar and it’s all “proper” and lumpy with actual cranberries in it.
New life goal: to sit at the grown-up table at a Thanksgiving meal before I die.

Don’t think I can help with the grownup table, but you can get ocean spray cranberry sauce without the bits of cranberry. It’s still in a jar though :(
